The workings here show the emerging European trends in art which migrated seemingly west to east during this period and provided works linking to late 18 th century Bohemia. The cultural and social undertones during this period ring through and the works date from roughly 1790 through 1910.
For a look into Art of the Old World, Kinsky palace located conveniently in the main square of Old Town known for housing over 7,000 years of art. The permanent exhibition dedicated to the Art of Asia and the Ancient Mediterranean is one of the most popular exhibits in Old Town Prague and the Palace itself deserves mention as a work of art. The sheer enormity of great art here makes this gallery a must see attraction for lovers of ancient art or even for those fascinated with the relation of art to ancient life.
